AKB48 New Single Everyday, Kachuusha

After debuting at the top spot of Oricon Daily Charts and selling 1 million copies in 2 days, AKB48's New single, "Everyday, Kachuusha" breaks Oricon Weekly Charts effectively becoming the highest first-week single sales record in Japan.

They have done it. With reported first week sales of 1,333,969, AKB48‘s newly released “Everyday, Kachuusha” has officially set the new record for highest first week sales of a single. The previous record was established back in 1996, when Mr.Children‘s “Namonaki Uta” went on to sell 1,208,230 copies in its first week.

"Everyday, Kachuusha" is the 21st major single (23rd overall) released by AKB48. The title track was used as the theme song for the film Moshi Koukou Yakyuu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no "Management" wo Yondara, starring members Maeda Atsuko and Minegishi Minami.

No Sleeves (ノースリーブス) is a sub unit from Japan Girl Group AKB48. No Sleeves consisting of Haruna Kojima, Minami Takahashi and Minami Minegishi.

The group will release their 6th single "Answer" is currently being used as a theme song for the anime ”BEEZLEBUB“. Another songs are popular songs of AKB4 theater exclusive songs like “no Mukougawa“ and “Gyakuten Oujisama and also a recorded version of Takahashi Minami’s solo theatre song, “Itoshisa no Accel“.

AKB48 new single Sakura no Ki ni Narou

AKB48 released their 20th single "Sakura no Ki ni Narou" 2 months after their last released single "Chance no Junban". The new single will be yet another Sakura-themed song in time for Spring.

The single "Sakura no Ki ni Narou" breaks sales record, sold more than 655,000 copies during its first day on record store shelves.

"Sakura no Ki ni Narou" will be used as the theme to the upcoming new drama series Sakura Kara no Tegami, Sorezore no Sotsugyou Monogatari (Letter from the Cherry Blossom Tree, Individual Graduation Stories) starring AKB48 members.

AKB48 new single Chance no Junban

AKB48 is very active this year. Just a month after the release of their 18th single Beginner, AKB48 released their new single "Chance no Junban".

There will be a total of 4 different types: Type A will feature Team A, Type K will feature Team K, Type B will feature Team B and Theater ver. will have AKB48 Kenkyuuseis. Each Type will have 3 different tracks and it's instrumentals for a total of 6 tracks, but the 4 different Types bump the total track count to 12. Each type will have it's own track #3 and #6.

AKB48 new single Beginner

Japan rising Group AKB48 continue their music career with album "Beginner". Before, AKB48 has being increasing their sales numbers with each new release. starting with "Sakura no Shiori" selling over 300,000 copies in its first week and "Ponytail to Shushu" and "Heavy Rotation" also managing to get consecutive first-week sales surpassing 500,000 copies each release.

Single Beginner is the 19th single released by AKB48, and has been a hot topic on the internet due to the PV. The original PV contains quite a bit of controversial scenes, such as Kojima Haruna’s face being chopped into half, Oshima Yuko getting stabbed by black thick needle looking thing, and Maeda Atsuko chopping her own arm off.

AKB48 new single Heavy Rotation

After success with their last single "Ponytail to Shushu" on May 2010, Japan idol group AKB48 produced their 18th single "Heavy Rotation".

In the Single are two new songs; the Senbatsu A side and Undergirls B side, as well the two tie-in songs used in the 7-11 CM and the Kagome Koreichi CM. The CMs and full songs are below the jump.

Actually what made AKB48's new single more attracted is their cover. On the Type-A jacket, Oshima Yuko, Maeda Atsuko, and Shinoda Mariko are the cover girls, and on the Type-B jacket is a solo picture of Oshima. All the girls are only wearing lingerie and looks like an AV Actress. Are the members want to follow their mate Riko Yamaguchi (Rina Nakanishi) who turned into an AV star ?

AKB48 new single Ponytail to Shushu

A-K-B-forty-eight or Akihabara48 is a Japanese theater/idol group produced by Akimoto Yasushi. The group has 48 members, divided into 3 subgroups, namely Team A, Team K, and Team B. They have released 4 singles as of present, and will be releasing their next single in April of 2007. Unlike other idol groups in Japan, AKB48 is theater-based and have their own theater in Akihabara (a district in Tokyo) where they perform once every weekday.

AKB48’s 16th and latest single Ponytail to Shushu (ポニーテールとシュシュ). This video features the girls sporting ponytails whilst dancing on a beach。 The Single is so anticipated and sold 354,000 copies in its first day. making it the biggest first week for a female idol group since Morning Musume's "Ren'ai Revolution 21" in 2000, and the biggest first week sales for a female artist since Hikaru Utada's "Can You Keep a Secret?" in 2001.

Single Ponytail to Shushu has been beating the group's previous single "Sakura no Shiori"'s first week sales of 354,000 copies.
