Secret First Japanese Single Madonna (Japanese Ver)

After a quick rise to stardom in their native Korea, girl group Secret is now invading the Japanese pop world! Their first Japanese-language release is a cover of their Korean dance hit Madonna, which has major significance as one of the hit songs that earned the girls their newcomer award in Korea.

SECRET has been called “basement idols” in the past, because they used to live in a dorm that was half underground when they first debuted. Although the group’s debut song wasn’t much of a hit, they broke through with their singles “Magic” and “Madonna” last year. Their 2011 single “Shy Boy” gave the group their first #1, and in March, member Jieun’s solo also topped the charts.

The girls plan to break into the J-pop scene with their hit single “Madonna“, which will come out on August 3rd. The group will be holding a showcase live in Tokyo on July 6th prior to the release of their Japanese single.
